Here, at last, with little fanfare is my long promised take on the character Shira Brie introduced in february of 1982 in the Star Wars Marvel comic published at that time. I have used the rank insignia of a rebel captain and I am portraying her in what I like to refer to as her 'luke Skywalker romance phase' at this point she was not revealed to be an Imperial agent. later, Shira was exposed as a major in Imperial Special Forces and was an Emperor's hand like Mara Jade.Luke shot down her tie-fighter and Vader rebuilt her to be the Lady Lumiya character who debuted in the last year of the marvel comics run which was 1987 I believe.

I will be doing a Mara Jade as soon as a suitable model presents herself like the jewelry ad I used for this piece. Fashion magazines serve as my source for many of the models I use. This woman just looks like Shira to me so this picture came to be more or less by happenstance.

I have to say, without being smug, that I am very pleased with how this one turned out.

background? classic imperial lighting pattern used in all their ships and installations. I hate backgrounds as I am usually racking my brain for ideas as to what to do, this one was easy and satisfying and I wasn't left wondering later on if I had done the right thing.

only thing that bothers me here is the rank insignia: it should be a bit more to the right.
